David Seiffge

Dr. Seiffge is a professor of neurology and excellece faculty member at the university of Bern in Switzerland. He is the head of the stroke unit and co-lead of the clinical stroke research team. He is the prinicipal investigator of several randomized controlled trials (eg DO-IT, ELAPSE, MAX-ICH) and observatinal studies (eg FIRE-Xa, MRI PRO-SVD). His main reseach interest is anticoagulation management in patients with stroke, treatment of breakthrough stroke and intracerebral haemorrhage. He serve on the board of directors of the European Stroke Organisation and is member of the writing of several recent guidelines (eg cervical artery dissection, intracerebral haemorrhage).
