Shaun Philip Jackson

Professor Shaun Jackson holds an NHMRC Investigator Grant (Level 3) and has been a longstanding faculty member at the Scripps Research Institute, San Diego (USA), and Honorary Visiting fellow at the University of Cambridge, UK. He was the co-founder and Research Director of the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases, Monash University (2004-2013). In 2013, he was appointed the inaugural Director of Cardiovascular Research, at the Heart Research Institute & Charles Perkins Centre, University of Sydney. He is the founder of Cruentus Pty. Ltd. and ThromBio Holdings Pty, Ltd., Australian biotechnology companies developing novel antithrombotic therapeutics for the treatment of stroke. Shaun has received numerous international awards including the Marion Barnhart Prize (2009) and Career Investigator Award and Medal (2011) from the International Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis. In 2010, Shaun was awarded an Australia Fellowship from the NHMRC.
