Heidi Dietz
Heidi Dietz is the Head of the Cardiovascular, Diabetes and Kidney Unit at the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW). In this role, she leads national monitoring and reporting on selected chronic conditions including heart, stroke and vascular disease. The unit’s core work draws on survey, administrative and registry data to track prevalence, incidence, mortality, risk factors and complications. Heidi also contributes to the identification of critical health insights by steering multi-year linked data projects. She holds postgraduate qualifications in Population Studies, Sociology, and Nutrition and Dietetics.
